We have reached and exceeded our goal! We were shooting for $1,500 and have now collected > $1,600 due to generous donations from of our friends and family. Thank you thank you thank you for helping us with this cause :) However, our collections are still on-going and we will give it another week or so for the fundraiser. Help us raise funds for the kids at the CHOC Cancer Institute

We're looking for 100 individuals who can donate a minimum of $15 each to the children at the Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) Cancer Institute.

100% of proceeds will go towards purchasing toys and entertainment (face painting, etc) for the children in long-term care. The goal is to raise a total of $1,500 and we are working to stretch our dollar as much as possible:

1) We have already received a commitment from a local kids entertainment company for a steep discount on face painting for all kids at the Cancer Institute.
2) We are contacting local toy stores who are willing to offer large discounts on toys.

Ways you can help:
1) be a sponsor - we are looking for 100 sponsors who can donate at least $15 each
2) help spread the word - ask you friends and family to donate also
3) do you know any toy store managers who might be able to help us get more for our money?

Why are you doing this?
1) we have a big heart :) and care about kids
2) our kids are healthy and happy
3) we want to make a difference

What's in it for you?
In short, satisfaction that we have done something nice for kids who need really need support from their community. This is a lot of time and effort from us, we are doing this on our own account and expect nothing in return. However, we are looking for the support from our friends and family to help us have a larger impact. If we exceed our $1,500 goal, we will donate the remainder directly to the CHOC Cancer Institute.

How will you ensure transparency?
100% of proceeds will be donated directly for the benefit of the children. Our accounts will be fully auditable and all books will be open upon request from donors. All donors (who agree) will be listed on this website. We will also gladly put you in touch with the person in charge at the Cancer Institute so you can independently verify our efforts.

Is this the same as donating to the CHOC Foundation?
No, this effort is independent of the CHOC foundation. The purpose of this effort is very specific and narrow - we will bring a bit of happiness and diversion to the kids.
